Just an example: If I wanted to be an Assassin, I'd have to start off as a newcomer and then after a certain number of levels, I get stronger. And then stronger and stronger.

Am I getting this right?

I think I explained it wrong. Whoops.

So you start off as a class which is a basic class (soldier, archer, thief, mage). Your skills will get stronger as you level up (gonna try and implement a skill upgrade kind of system)

For changing classes, you have to train your character to a certain level to be able to evolve.

So basically: I start out as a thief and as my skills progress I can be an Assassin or something else. But in order for that to happen, I have to reach a certain level.

Yup. That's pretty much it.

Anyway, will you also make certain 'special' classes? I mean, who will be the hero? The one you play the whole game with?

For special classes, what do you have in mind?

The person who begins to play the game will make the character and that is the hero.

The characters you guys are submitting will share some important parts of the story and contribute to it.

I was thinking like Cyborgs, Dark Knight/Elf.

You know like split characters into Dark and Light things. That would be cool.

Oh, I see. Alright then. With special classes I mean like; Are there people with a class that only they can be or are all classes available?

And what's more, are we allowed to make more then one character for the RPG? (like NPC's orso)

I would advise against it. Thats too much to keep up with.

All classes will be available.

For making more characters, I'd say no. I got all the sprites I need for now.

But i wanna be a Dark Mage. So ill just level up from Mage?

Yup, you have to level up from mage.

What would Assassin's start out as?

What's their stages of progession, also?

They start as a thief.

The progression for all classes should be the same.

Like what specifically for Assassin:

Thief

Assassin.

I mean like what are the stages of progression for my class exactly? Im thinkin we need to make a thread about this.

There's just two stages in a class. For thief, it starts as a thief and as it reaches a certain level, it can pick to change to bandit or assassin.

My thread about the class probably wasn't clear enough.

Create a sticky depicting the Progession Clusters.

I start as a thief then and move on to assasin, but can assassin have a spell? Because on POM2 forums i posted my character and named one of his spells Blink. Blink is kinda magical so is that fine?

yeah i think certain classes other than mages can cast weaker simpler spells, but i dont think assassin's can cast elemental spells, they're more hand-to-hand or sneaky precise kills.

Then Blink could be considered as using a smoke bomb and jumping to another position

Lol that's more of an item effect then a spell.

Could we buy different item effects for our items? That would be a really awesome feature.

different item effects? like what?

a Grenade only has one purpose. Same with potions...
